Donald Trump: The US President's most talked about tweets of 2018 REVEALED

DONALD Trump is a president known for his frequent posts on social media. Here express.co.uk looks back at the US President’s most talked about tweets of 2018.

In 2018 Trump has criticised foreign leaders, explicitly talked of his anger at the probe of Russian election interference and even attacked officials in his own administration.

With already five tweets on the first day of 2019, it looks as though President Trump’s love of expressing his opinion on social media will continue this year.

One of his tweets today read: “HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE, INCLUDING THE HATERS AND THE FAKE NEWS MEDIA! 2019 WILL BE A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR THOSE NOT SUFFERING FROM TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.

“JUST CALM DOWN AND ENJOY THE RIDE, GREAT THINGS ARE HAPPENING FOR OUR COUNTRY!”

The President sent a warning to North Korean leader Kim Jong-un following Kim’s New Year’s Day address.

In his speech, Kim said that North Korea’s nuclear weapons could reach any location in the US and threatened that he had a nuclear button on his desk.

Trump’s response was: “North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the 'Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times'.

“Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!”

“....to President of the United States (on my first try). I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius....and a very stable genius at that!”

The President sent one of his most scathing tweets of the year following reports that the Justice Department had received a referral recommending that Andrew McCabe, the FBI's former number two official, be charged with lying to officials from the agency.

The President received criticism and calls for his resignation for this tweet which read: “We have defeated ISIS in Syria, my only reason for being there during the Trump Presidency.”
