Do NOT take any medication found in Newcastle, police warn

A large quantity of prescription medication was lost in the Clayton Street area and police are urging anyone who finds them to hand them over

Police are warning people in Newcastle not to take any medication found and to hand it over to them after a large quantity was lost in the city.

Officers received a report of medication being lost in the Clayton Street area on Thursday evening.

Police say that any of the medication could be very dangerous if taken without prescription.

A spokesperson for Northumbria Police said: “Anyone who finds the medication is asked to hand it in to police or contact 101 quoting 1186 10/08/17.”
