DARYL DRAGON, one half of the group Captain and Tennille, has died at the age of 76.
One fan wrote: “#RIP Daryl Dragon, The Captain, a great musician, keyboard player and friend for over 40 years. He took Love Will Keep Us Together, made it his own with the magic of his playing and her incredible voice. My sympathy to his family and to @ToniTennille.”
Another said: “Man, I had such a a crush on the Captain — the dark, handsome, silent type with a romantic heart and an ornery smile.
“I’m glad to read Tennille was by his side when he passed, as it should be. RIP, Daryl Dragon. Thank you for the music we all so loved. #LoveWillKeepUsTogether.”
A third said: “What the hell!? Now the Captain! Another one of my 70s faves. Thanks for the great 70s tunes. RIP Daryl Dragon.”
According to his obituary, at Daryl’s request, there will be no services and instead, suggested donations to organisations conducting research into neurological conditions.
