Twyford Spartans Ability Counts team will celebrate Christmas in style thanks to money raised at a craft fair.

Tiverton Town Football Club hosted the event on Sunday, November 26, with dozens of craft stalls and traders selling handmade gifts and treats. In total £333 was raised.

Tracey Rawlings, who organised the event said: “Today was a big fundraiser for the adults and juniors team, raising money for their Christmas party and the possibility of something coming from the man in red if he comes and they’ve all been good boys and girls.

“The team is going from strength to strength they’re all doing very well, we have five teams including the juniors and ladies now. We play in league games, and I like to turn up and cheer on the guys.

“The stallholders have had a good day, and we have had Take Note choir which was lovely. It was a very pleasant afternoon with some good stalls, good products and many handmade gifts by some talented people.”
