BRITISH MEP Raymond Finch launched a furious attack on the European Union during a heated debate in European Parliament on Tuesday – warning the Brussels bloc it must stop counting on “benighted British taxpayers” to fund its budget.
The MEP hit out at the European Union and warned there will soon be an influx of eurosceptic MEPs as a result of the “armed and aggressive EU superstate”.
Speaking in European Parliament to discuss the EU’s Multiannual Financial Framework, the Ukip MEP blasted: “The people’s of Europe don’t want more powers handed to unaccountable EU institutions which will just fritter their money away.
“They do not want to create an armed and aggressive EU superstate and they do not want to give tax-raising powers to the EU.
“This is everything the Remain campaign in the British referendum told us that the EU was not.
“Your elections next year, in spite of all your moral propaganda that you’ll spend on it, will bring in hundreds of eurosceptic MEPs precisely because of your hubris.”
The Brexiteer MEP then issued a stern warning to the Brussels bloc over the state of Brexit negotiations and said: “Despite Brexit, unfortunately, Britain will still be contributing billions to you for possibly decades to come because our Government has sold us out.
“We will make more concessions and I think this is what you are banking on – getting more and more money from the poor benighted British taxpayers.
