An Indian bride sparked a mass brawl when she called off her wedding after the groom was spooked by a nearby lightning strike.
The fight broke out because the groom's relatives were outraged that some of the wedding rituals had already been performed by the priest when the bride cut the ceremony short.
Police in Bihar, northeastern India, said the bride walked out on her betrothed on Friday because of his 'unusual behaviour' after the lightning strike.
'After the lightning, the groom behaved as [if] he was afraid of it,' a police spokesman explained, according to The Telegraph.
When the groom's relatives complained about the bride's sudden decision, they were attacked by the bride's relatives.
Three of the bride's relatives were arrested after the violence, duty officer Sidheshwar Azad said.
