However, he admitted there was one gift he received which he felt was a “touch premature.”
He continued: “Some sent cards and letters, even the occasional book; although the one entitled Talking about Death I thought was a touch premature.”
He added: “But if love could have cured me, I’d be a healthy man now.”
During the interview, Bill also gave an update on his treatment progress and said he has now completed eight rounds of chemotherapy.
However, although the the host revealed the cancer had stopped spreading, he said he is now at a “stalemate”.
“The cancer has stopped spreading, but it hasn’t been beaten back entirely,” he said.
“We’re at a stalemate. If the chemo had worked completely, I’d get two years off treatment before the cancer reared its ugly head again.”
