PIERS MORGAN ridiculed Peter Mandelson’s credibility - claiming that the Remainer’s warnings of a no deal catastrophe are “apocalyptic” and unrealistic.
Piers Morgan took Peter Mandelson to task for his scaremongering anti-Brexit tactics, claiming that no-one believed his “apocalyptic” warnings anymore. The Good Morning Britain host ridiculed the former New Labour spin doctor for repeatedly getting his predictions badly wrong. Peter Mandelson had earlier claimed a no deal Brexit would cause “very severe and negative economic consequences”.
Mr Mandelson explained what a no deal Brexit would mean, saying: “A true Brexit is one where we genuinely leave the EU and not half-in, half-out.
“It is where we do not remain in a single market or customs market. We would have a completely independent trade policy.
“We would leave on WTO rules, from which point we would try to negotiate a trade agreement with the EU.
“Two years on, I don’t believe that people, who understand this now and its implications, would give their informed consent to that happening.
“The Brtish Government and every international body has said that if we were to leave it would have very severe and negative consequences on our economy.
