A STRONG earthquake has rattled Anchorage just days after a major tremor caused widespread damage across Alaska’s biggest city.
Witnesses reported feeling buildings shaking as the magnitude 5.1 quake struck at 9.45pm GMT (1.45pm local time).
The epicentre was just 37km north of Anchorage, according to earthquake monitoring service EMSC.
People in the area took to the EMSC site to share their experiences of the tremor, with one saying: “Building swayed... not again.”
Another said: “Wow that very shaky lasted a long time. Then another smaller one right after.”
