For the first time since the 6th of December all the way back in 2012, The 1975 returned to the Barfly in Camden (now known as the Camden Assembly) to perform an intimate gig hosted by Spotify to 200 of their biggest fans, users who listen to them the MOST on Spotify (we’re talking like, 24/7).
Using songs from the original setlist used on that very special night again once again, fans were singing their hearts out to the songs that boosted the band’s career and put them on the map from ‘Robbers’ to ‘Chocolate’. Yep, we’re crying.
Walking on stage looking dapper in their suits (and Matty donning a pair of shades for ‘ego and stylistic reasons’), the boys kicked off the gig with the first single of their new album ‘A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships’, called ‘Give Yourself a Try’.
Playing ‘Medicine’ for the first time since revealing the true meaning behind it on Twitter recently, we can’t help but feel jealous of the crowd for getting to be part of this very intimate moment.
And of course they went HAM on the decor, when are they not doing the absolute MOST?
You can find us sobbing in the corner and rocking back and forth until their 2019 tour.
